Opened in 2009, the Purdue Research Park at AmeriPlex-Indianapolis brings all of the value of Purdue's award-winning business incubation program to the capital city.
Entrepreneurs looking for an optimal location for emerging or expanding enterprises should take a moment to explore all that the Purdue Research Park has to offer. The four-park network, which spans the length of the state from Chicago in the northwest to Louisville in the southeast, is the direct result of Purdue University's commitment to spur economic growth within the state's high-tech sector.
Located on prime land along the I-70 corridor near the Midfield Terminal of the Indianapolis International Airport, the technology park under development by Purdue Research Foundation and Holladay Properties is the centerpiece of the latest 400-acre phase of AmeriPlex-Indianapolis, a nearly 1,500-acre development.
The Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) and the Indiana University Medical Center are nearby. With easy access to the airport, the park appeals to both the scientific and corporate mindset.
Commercial lots are available for purchase or land lease by high-tech firms. The park's projected number of companies is 75, with an estimated 1,500 employees and an average annual wage of $54,000.
Incubator clients (both tenants and affiliates) are eligible to participate in Purdue Portals, and they also benefit from an array of complimentary or low-cost professional services:
Information Systems - provides IT support through both technical assistance and consulting, and operates the PRF DataStation, which was developed to support the Purdue Research Parks' technology-based and compliancy-regulated companies. It is an energy-efficient, high-security facility built to house mission-critical computer and network equipment. It serves as a central point for fiber connectivity and features redundant power and cooling as well as access to low-cost, high-availability Internet bandwidth. Although physically located in West Lafayette, all parks' companies can benefit from its virtualized applications, managed services and off-site data storage capabilities.
Communications and Marketing - provides media relations assistance, which includes media training as well as preparing and distributing news releases; and marketing consulting, which includes prepared company profiles and advising on brochures and videos.
Purdue Research Parks offer numerous networking opportunities from our quarterly Party in the Park to our frequent seminars, fairs and entrepreneurship academies. Our e-newsletter Innovation Express, which chronicles our development and the important milestones of our companies, is distributed throughout the parks and to thousands of interested readers across the country. |
